Data kept in your browser

Notes, reading progress, revisions, local discussion drafts, preferences, and reading lists are stored in this site’s IndexedDB storage. They are accessible to this browser profile and may be lost if site data is cleared or evicted. “Saved on this device” is not a backup.

Exports

JSON, TeX, and lesson-plan exports are plaintext unless you explicitly choose the encrypted vault export. Keep exported files according to your own device and organizational security practices.

Voice notes

Voice recognition is provided by the browser. Depending on the browser, audio may be sent to the browser vendor’s speech service. The app displays a warning and asks for consent before starting recognition. Conjecture Fieldbook does not receive the audio.

Optional analytics

Google Analytics 4 is disabled until you choose “Allow analytics.” Ad storage, ad-user-data, ad-personalization, and Google Signals are disabled. The app may then report page views and coarse product actions such as changing an audience mode, applying an Atlas filter, opening a reviewed problem or lab, completing a numbered reading step, creating or exporting a note, opening a random problem, or following a source link.

The analytics module does not send note bodies, note titles, formulas, voice content, local identifiers, or raw search text. You can withdraw consent from the footer. If no measurement ID is configured, no Google Analytics script is loaded regardless of the preference.

Hosting records

Like most public websites, the hosting and network providers can process routine request data such as IP address, requested path, user agent, and timestamp for delivery and security. Conjecture Fieldbook does not operate a separate first-party telemetry endpoint.
